When it comes to offshore, big horsepower performance, Yamaha’s new generation V6 outboards stand in a class of their own. Combining big bore performance, refined design and unrivalled fuel economy, these engines are purpose-built to handle the most challenging of marine environments. The smallest of these big displacement power plants is the extremely lightweight and powerful F225, which incorporates Yamaha’s plasma-fused sleeveless cylinder technology. By removing the need for conventional steel sleeves, this outboard is both lighter and able to deliver an increased engine capacity. With Yamaha’s multipoint electronic fuel injection system, variable camshaft timing and electronically controlled throttle valve, this engine is able to maintain optimum power and efficiency at all times, resulting in improved overall performance.
